Description | Use of the tools and transformation options of an industry-standard vector drawing program to create complex illustrations or drawings. |

Learning Outcomes | Identify terminology, advantages and limitations of vector software; use vector drawing tools to manipulate, create, and edit vector drawings for print or web; and specify file formats. | ||||||||||

Determination of Final Grade |
Determination of Final Grade 20% Part 1: Thinking 20% Part 2: Looking 50% Part 3: Doing 10% Part 4: Critique Project Grades 100% - This is a project based class. your grade will be based off of 9 class projects. The Average of these projects will account for 100% of your grade. Each major project will have 3 different illustration types. Realistic, Abstract, and Character Drawings. 30% Realistic Illustrations - These drawings will be based off what you see. You will treat the drawing as if it was a still life in a studio drawing class. 30% Abstract Illustrations - With these drawings, you will learn to abstract the subject matter and reduce the subject matter down to its basic geometric forms. 30% Character Illustrations - These drawings will focus on turning the subject matter into a cartoon character and will explore how to add a narrative to a subject. 10% - Critique - This is the last stage of their projects where they will gather feedback about their projects from their peers or instructors. |

Attendance Policy |
Attendance Research has shown a cause and effect relationship between attendances and college success. Students that came to class more were more successful in their education than students that didn’t come to class. Come to class! My attendance policy is simple after 3 unexcused absences your final grade will drop by one letter grade after 8 you will receive and F for the course. |
